Here are a couple of my favs that we shot:

Gertrude Projection Festival 2012 Animation Piece

This was a collaboration between myself and the talented Chris Staring of skaremedia - skaremedia.com

It was our joint submission for the Gertrude Projection Festival 2012, which was projected in a shopfront on Getrude st, Fitzroy, here in Melbourne this past July.

Videography of ASPECT Studios projects

A couple of videos I shot and edited for the Sydney Landscape Architecture Studio of ASPECT.
Darling Quarter in particular is a multi international award winning project, and a space that is well worth checking out if you’re ever in Sydney!

Selandra Community Place Project and Launch

I worked on a series of motion graphics animations (12 minutes in total), at ASPECT Studios Digital, for the sustainable display home “Selandra Community Place”.
Our project team, along with Studio Binocular, developed a branding and interactive media strategy to promote and educate sustainability practices in the home.

These are some highlights of my animation work:

This is the video I shot and edited of the opening of the home itself back in March:

Pausefest

Pause Fest is a unique digital arts/culture/design festival, based in Melbourne. The first physical fest was in November last year, spread over lots of venues throughout the CBD.
I thoroughly enjoyed attending many of the events and helping to document the festival (helping shoot some interviews & bits & pieces with Melbourne DSLR).

You can check out the 11 min doco that was put together on it below, as well as some of my favourite animations that were part of the festival. The ‘Pause Cribs’ were a great insight into various digital design studios around the world too – check out the Stupid Studios vid.

Philip Bloom & Ric Creaser FilmMaker Workshop 2012; Melbourne

On March the 1st, Philip Bloom (Director, Cinematographer – UK) kicked off his workshop tour of Australia/New Zealand, here in Melbourne.

I’d booked tickets back in November and was looking forward to this one massively.
It didn’t disappoint. I met up with some of the Melbourne DSLR club guys down there and helped shoot a few clips – we produced the video above as a little promo for the rest of the tour.

As well as learning lots of little cool tips and bits of info, we got to check out some of Philip’s plethora of cameras, including the Sony FS-100 and new Canon C300 (DROOL).
He also projected some of his amazing work on the FS100, broadcast the C300 live over hdmi (Amazing high ISO performance), and played some of his brilliant work (timelapses were my fav).

This is his most recent timelapse piece from Dubai:

Brilliant stuff.

Here are a few of the photos I snapped on my little Sony NEX-5N. Full set on flickr.
